Cloud & Database Disaster Recovery Consultant Senior / Lead - Database Disaster Recovery - Onsite Role Location: Pittsburgh, PA
Duration: 6-12 Months+
Rate: Market $60-75/Hr
- Key Responsibilities
- Perform end-to-end database assessments across environments
- Analyze business criticality and map applications to databases
- Define RTO and RPO requirements in collaboration with business and IT stakeholders
- Assess current backup, restore, replication, and DR mechanisms
- Identify gaps between current state vs target RTO/RPO
- Recommend DR architectures (active-active, active-passive, multi-region, replication)
- Validate backup strategies (full, incremental, log backups, snapshots)
- Support DR drills and restore testing
- Document assessment findings, risks, and recommendations
- Provide cost vs resilience trade-off analysis
- Work closely with Infrastructure, Application, Security, and Cloud teams
RTO/RPO definition and validation. Backup, restore and disaster recovery strategy system Strong experience with enterprise databases such as - SQL server, PostgreSQL, MySQL. DR Architectures and replication technologies Cloud platforms: AWS, Google Cloud Platform & Azure Cloud-Native backup and DR services High Availability(HA) and fault-tolerant design Infrastructure understandings (VM, storage, Networking)
