Job Title: Senior Project Manager (Agile) Â State project exp must
Location: Remote
Duration: Long Term Contract
Note: Candidate must work from 12-9 PM ET
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Project Manager with a strong background in Agile methodologies and technical project management. The ideal candidate will have over 15 years of experience leading state-level projects, expertise in using MS Project, and a technical understanding of AngularJS, Node.js, and AWS cloud platforms. The candidate will play a pivotal role in managing the delivery of large-scale, complex projects in a government setting.
Key Responsibilities:
 Lead the planning, execution, and successful delivery of state-level IT projects in accordance with Agile methodologies.
 Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, QA, business analysts, and stakeholders to ensure project alignment with objectives and timelines.
 Utilize MS Project for scheduling, resource management, and reporting to maintain project visibility and control.
 Provide technical leadership in projects involving AngularJS, Node.js, and AWS cloud technologies.
 Manage project risks, issues, and change requests, ensuring timely resolution and communication with stakeholders.
 Lead Agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
 Ensure compliance with state government policies, standards, and project governance.
 Maintain strong relationships with state clients, managing expectations, and driving the achievement of project milestones.
 Mentor and guide team members in Agile best practices and technical development methodologies.
Qualifications:
 Minimum 15 years of experience managing state government IT projects.
 Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies and frameworks (Scrum, Kanban).
 Proficiency in MS Project for project tracking and reporting.
 Technical expertise in AngularJS, Node.js, and AWS cloud solutions.
 Proven experience in managing large, cross-functional teams.
 Exceptional communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
 Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
 Experience working with state government agencies or similar environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
 PMP or Agile certification (e.g., CSM, PMI-ACP).
 Experience working with other cloud platforms and modern technologies.
 Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools.
