Join VIQ Solutions, a leader in transcription services, as we adapt to the technology-driven needs of legal and judicial agencies. We are seeking experienced Legal/Judicial contract professionals knowledgeable in transcribing depositions and hearings for a fully remote Independent Contractor role.
Key Responsibilities
Ā Produce verbatim transcripts from audio recordings of depositions, hearings, and other judicial proceedings.
Ā Ensure adherence to client-specific style guides while maintaining the highest level of accuracy.
Ā Demonstrate exceptional attention to detail and a strong understanding of legal terminology throughout the transcription process.
Required Skills
Ā Proven experience in court reporting, scoping, or legal transcription.
Ā Exceptional listening abilities with a keen eye for detail.
Ā Outstanding literacy skills, including spelling and grammar proficiency.
Ā Strong typing skills with a focus on speed and accuracy.
Ā Familiarity with processing sensitive audio/text content.
Ā Ability to collaborate effectively in a remote setting.
Qualifications
Ā Significant experience in legal transcription is required.
Ā Familiarity with legal terminology is essential.
Ā Candidates must be able to pass a background check.
