Job Description
I run a men’s grooming brand on WordPress + WooCommerce using Cloudflare. Some visitors (and tools) are seeing a “Verifying that you are not a robot…” challenge when trying to access key pages (Home/Shop/Contact). I need an expert to fix false-positive bot challenges while keeping real protection in place.
This is a high-impact conversion issue. If shoppers get blocked, I lose sales.
What I need you to do
Diagnose the cause of Cloudflare challenges (WAF rules, Bot Fight Mode, security level, custom rules, managed rules, etc.).
Create proper allow/skip rules so real shoppers can access:
/shop (or product/category pages)
/cart
/checkout
/my-account
contact/about pages
…without unnecessary challenges.
Ensure Google can crawl and index the site (verified bots should not be challenged).
Keep security strong: we are not turning everything off. We want smart rules, not “disable protection.”
Provide a short written summary of changes:
what you changed
why you changed it
how to revert if needed
Quick validation checklist after changes:
incognito test
mobile test
different network test (if possible)
confirm no checkout/cart blocks
Requirements (must have)
Proven experience with Cloudflare WAF + Bot Management
Proven experience with WooCommerce
Can explain exactly what you’re doing (no vague “I optimized it”)
Nice to have
Experience with WordPress performance/CRO
Familiarity with RankMath/SEO basics
Experience setting up Cloudflare rules specifically for ecommerce
