Our client is a boutique U.S.-based accounting and advisory firm that partners with service-oriented small to medium-sized businesses nationwide. Their mission is to equip entrepreneurs with financial clarity and tax strategy that drive exponential business growth.
Operating with a remote-first setup and led by a founder experienced in managing global teams, the firm has cultivated a culture rooted in accountability, excellent communication, and thoughtful client service. The tax team works closely with business owners, ensuring returns are accurate, projections are forward-looking, and planning is always strategic. They are now building a high-performing offshore team committed to quality, professionalism, and long-term collaboration.
- DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare U.S. individual and business tax returns
- Assist in year-end planning, tax estimates, and projections
- Perform tax research to support compliance and strategy recommendations
- Maintain clean, timely, and accurate workpapers
- Conduct initial reviews of bookkeeping data to identify tax-saving opportunities
- Collaborate with the U.S. team on internal process improvements and workflow optimization
- Ensure deliverables are accurate, timely, and aligned with internal deadlines and client expectations
- Support development of SOPs and checklists for the tax function
- Maintain proactive, consistent communication across internal stakeholders
- QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field (CPA is a strong plus)
- Minimum 3 years experience preparing U.S. tax returns — both individual and business
- Must have worked with U.S.-based accounting firms
- Solid understanding of federal and multistate tax regulations
- Strong command of written and spoken English
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online
- Familiarity with Drake (preferred), Excel, and Canopy (a plus)
- Experience with business returns highly preferred
