tech to achieve stunning visuals while ensuring smooth performance in a dynamic, media-rich

environment.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

● Develop custom shaders (Shader Graph/HLSL) and materials for high-fidelity VR

rendering, including texture blending, transparency effects, and video-integrated

surfaces.

● Optimize real-time VFX, particle systems, and post-processing for performance in

VR (targeting 90+ FPS).

● Implement and refine lighting solutions (baked, mixed, or real-time) that

complement projected media and environmental textures.

● Profile and optimize GPU/CPU performance (draw calls, texture streaming, LODs) for

VR hardware.

● Work with texture renderers, video planes, and dynamic media integration in Unity

(e.g., RenderTextures, AVPro Video).

● Collaborate with artists to ensure seamless visual cohesion between 3D assets

and media-backed environments.

● Prototype screen-space effects, distortions, and compositing techniques for

immersive interactions.

WHO YOU ARE

Core Qualifications:

● Strong Unity experience with URP/HDRP, Shader Graph, and VFX Graph.

● Expertise in material authoring, dynamic lighting, and post-processing stacks.

● Experience optimizing VR rendering pipelines (e.g., occlusion culling, GPU instancing,

foveated rendering).

2

● Familiarity with video/texture rendering in Unity (e.g., RenderTextures, video player

integration).

● Proficiency in performance profiling (Unity Profiler, Frame Debugger, Memory

Analyzer).

Key Competencies:

● A portfolio showcasing shaders, VFX, or optimized VR scenes (especially

media-integrated work).

● An eye for visual continuity between 3D assets and projected/dynamic elements.
