About the position
- Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one tutoring for elementary ELA & Math.
- Skilled tutoring using the student's own curriculum and real-time assignments.
- Ability to simplify concepts and help build better study habits and organizational skills.
- Help to improve students' academic performance and achieve their learning goals, praising small victories.
- Assist students with guidance and understanding of course materials and their individual academic needs.
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly.
- Requirements
- Must have a minimum Bachelor's degree.
- Proficiency in Elementary subjects and curriculum.
- Minimum 2 years' experience working with students in teaching, tutoring, or mentoring roles.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain goals and concepts clearly.
- Ability to simplify concepts and adapt to different learning styles.
- Basic technical skills for reporting sessions and writing student progress/session notes.
- Nice-to-haves
- Experience in tutoring or mentoring students in a one-on-one setting.
- Familiarity with various teaching methods and learning styles.
