About Us:
Mfinite Consulting is a leading professional services firm providing expert IT and management consulting solutions. We are seeking a Temporary IT Programmer to support a project with the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE).
Position Overview:
- The selected candidate will collaborate with the MSDE technical team to enhance the MARS system, an application utilizing .NET, JSON, Web API, MySQL, and Azure DevOps. The role requires hands-on experience with ASP.NET, MySQL databases, and data transformation.Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, optimize, and maintain application code to improve scalability and performance.
- Conduct system analysis, debugging, and documentation to support the project lifecycle.
- Collaborate with project managers, business analysts, testers, database managers, and help desk staff.
- Ensure seamless integration with the Orchard system while maintaining security best practices.
- Utilize tools such as Jira, Visual Studio, and GIT for development and issue tracking.
- Provide weekly status updates and attend regular stakeholder meetings.
- Required Qualifications:
- Strong proficiency in ASP.NET, C#, MySQL, and Web API.
- Experience with SQL Server Database and MVC architecture.
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps for deployment and management.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Must be geographically located in the USA and available during standard business hours (7 AM 6 PM EST).
- Experience with Web Accessibility Standards is preferred.
- Additional Details:
- Interviews: 2 rounds (virtual and/or in-person).
- Certification Requirements: Web Accessibility Specialist (WAS) certification is preferred but not mandatory.
