Granite State Manufacturing (GSM) is a small business contract manufacturer providing complete in-house capabilities, including machining, US Navy-certified welding, wiring, assembly, and testing. GSM-built equipment is on every US Navy submarine. From prototype to production runs, GSM has the technical depth, program management, and manufacturing expertise to deliver performance-critical solutions. GSM has 5-axis machining up to 33ft long or 82in diameter and welding up to 35,000lbs. About The Role As a Tele Chat Support Agent in our Customer Support department, you will play a critical role in delivering outstanding service to our customers through real-time chat communication. This hourly, full-time role requires a proactive, customer-centric mindset and a command of the English language to assist and resolve customer inquiries efficiently and professionally. What You'll Do β’ Provide prompt, professional, and accurate responses to customer inquiries through live chat platforms. β’ Resolve customer issues efficiently while maintaining a positive and empathetic tone. β’ Identify customer needs and provide appropriate solutions or escalate complex cases to relevant teams. β’ Document and log all customer interactions accurately within company systems. β’ Collaborate with other team members to improve processes and share feedback for enhancing customer service quality. β’ Maintain knowledge of company policies, products, and services to offer informed assistance. β’ Meet or exceed performance metrics, including response time, resolution time, and customer satisfaction scores. Qualifications β’ Fluency in English, with exceptional written communication skills. β’ Previous experience in customer support or a similar role is preferred. β’ Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a high-volume chat environment. β’ Proficient typing skills and familiarity with using chat software and CRM tools. β’ Strong problem-solving skills with a customer-first approach to resolving issues. β’ Empathetic, patient, and able to handle challenging customer interactions calmly. β’ Availability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed for full-time coverage.
