Job Title: System Engineer - Linux / Unix Job Type: Full-time Work Location: Remote Job Summary: β€’ Under minimal supervision, provides specialized expertise across multiple systems and software disciplines, with general knowledge of related technologies and application implications. β€’ Responsible for in-depth analysis and technical support of systems software products, including complex problem resolution, design, development, testing, operational integration, and user support. Key responsibilities include: β€’ Planning and conversion for new hardware/software products. β€’ Maintaining, debugging, and configuring software products. β€’ Operating systems planning and evaluation for performance analysis, capacity planning, and hardware upgrades. β€’ Developing or modifying operating systems applications from specifications. β€’ Assisting with design, coding, benchmark testing, debugging, and documentation. β€’ Interfacing with other support groups to resolve problems, set standards, and improve efficiency. β€’ Preparing product documentation and gathering customer requirements. Minimum Requirements (Required): β€’ Experience: 8+ years in a relevant field (Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Systems/Technology). β€’ COTS Maintenance: Hands-on experience with Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) product maintenance. β€’ Certification: Relevant certification from a nationally recognized technical authority. β€’ Certification (IAT Level II). Additional Required Skills: β€’ 4+ years of experience with application maintenance on UNIX/Linux/Windows servers. β€’ 4+ years of solid experience in Azure IL5 GovCloud, including managing AKS environments using Azure CLI/Kubectl. β€’ 3+ years of experience deploying Helm charts using ArgoCD. β€’ Experience with MongoDB and Microsoft SQL Server. β€’ 2+ years of experience with DoD/DLA networks. β€’ Advanced technical knowledge in applications programming, including system design, updates, firewalls, storage, and retrieval methods. Preferred Skills: β€’ Experience with eDiscovery tools (Exterro, Mystic, Veritone). β€’ Experience with Docker containers. β€’ DLA-approved Computing Environment certification. Education: β€’ BS/BA degree in a relevant IT field OR 5 additional years of related experience.
