Job Description
Weyerhaeuser is a company with a rich history in sustainable wood products, and they are seeking a Customer Service Representative to join their Supply Chain team. This role involves managing customer interactions, processing orders, and developing foundational knowledge to support customer needs effectively.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customers and sellers, taking ownership of routine customer interactions and inquiries related to order status and product information
- Enter and manage customer orders or assist sellers with order file management using sales tools and SAP, ensuring orders are priced, shipped, and invoiced accurately and on time
- Troubleshoot basic customer and order issues, escalating more complex situations as needed, and learning from order errors or mistakes to improve accuracy and service quality
- Develop foundational knowledge of customers, products, pricing, company procedures, and services to effectively support a defined customer base
- Submit new customer requests accurately through SAP master data processes with guidance, building confidence and system proficiency over time
- Collaborate closely with sales, peers, and internal partners to support customer commitments and contribute to a positive team environment
- Communicate clearly and professionally with customers and internal stakeholders through written and verbal channels, including phone and email
- Build time management and organizational skills to remain focused on priorities while maintaining attention to accuracy and detail
Skills
- GED or High School Diploma
- 1-2 + years of customer service or office administration
- Customer service focus, with the ability to act as a reliable point of contact and take ownership of routine customer interactions
- Clear verbal and written communication skills to effectively support customers and collaborate with sales and internal partners via phone, email, and in person
- Attention to detail and accuracy when entering and managing orders to ensure correct pricing, shipping, and invoicing
- Basic problem-solving skills with the ability to recognize issues, gather information, and escalate appropriately
- Time management and organizational skills to prioritize work and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Collaboration and relationship-building skills to work effectively within a team and build positive relationships with customers and internal partners
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, including Outlook, Excel, and Word
- Ability and willingness to learn enterprise systems, including SAP and selling tools, to support order entry and customer data processes
- Comfort using web-based applications and customer service tools to support daily work activities
- Ability to work flexible hours as needed
