About the position
- Responsibilities
- Provide specialized instruction to students with moderate to severe disabilities at various educational levels.
- Plan, develop, and implement comprehensive Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students.
- Consult with school staff regarding special education services and strategies.
- Assess student progress and adapt instructional methods to meet individual needs.
- Collaborate with parents, educators, and support staff to create a supportive learning environment.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and IEP documentation.
- Requirements
- Valid and current California teaching credential appropriate for special education.
- English Learner Authorization (if not embedded in credential, provide a copy of CLAD, CTEL or equivalent).
- Three current professional letters of recommendation, including at least one from a direct supervisor.
- Unofficial copies of all college/university transcripts.
- Letter of introduction outlining qualifications and interest in the position.
- Nice-to-haves
- Experience working with students with diverse learning needs.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Familiarity with remote teaching tools and strategies.
