Job Description

We’re looking for a skilled SolidWorks Composer draftsman or engineer with deep experience in medical device manufacturing and controlled documentation. This role involves creating high-quality visual content to support standard operating procedures (SOPs), assembly instructions, and other regulated documentation used on the production floor. You’ll be working within a controlled environment where clarity, accuracy, and change control are critical. Key Responsibilities: Create technical visuals using SolidWorks Composer for SOPs, work instructions, and training documents Translate complex assemblies into clear, step-by-step instructions for assembly line operators Visually represent correct vs. incorrect procedures for critical assembly and handling tasks Ensure documentation is compliant with FDA, ISO 13485, and internal change control requirements Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to build scalable, revision-controlled documentation assets Required Experience: Expert-level SolidWorks Composer skills Medical device manufacturing experience, including working in cleanrooms or controlled environments Familiarity with FDA and ISO 13485 documentation standards Experience contributing to DHF, manufacturing documentation, or training materials Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a highly regulated, quality-driven environment Nice to Have: Experience integrating Composer visuals into eQMS or document management systems Knowledge of visual standards for operator training and deviation prevention Background in creating controlled documents tied to change orders or NC/CAPA processes Scope & Engagement: This is a contract position, starting project-based with potential for long-term engagement.
