About the position

The Service Associate II position at Eastern Bank is a hybrid role that combines the responsibilities of a Customer Service Representative and a Teller. This full-time position involves engaging with customers in both sales and transaction processing, primarily in in-store locations. The role focuses on achieving sales and service goals while ensuring operational compliance and providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities
Ā• Open deposit accounts
,
Ā• Prepare and process loan applications for various lending units (mortgage, consumer, small business, etc.)
,
Ā• Close loans for customers for applicable business lines (i.e. consumer lending)
,
Ā• Process ATM, ITM, TCR and ICOM transactions
,
Ā• Make referrals to other bank business lines and third-party partners
,
Ā• Proactively reach out to high-value customers to retain and grow the portfolio
,
Ā• Handle daily account maintenance and other service issues as necessary
,
Ā• Achieve quarterly sales goals
,
Ā• Complete and implement additional trainings (Fiduciary, Business Documentation, Operations and Safe Deposit)
,
Ā• Process deposits to customer accounts, including verification of cash and endorsements
,
Ā• Cash checks for customers and non-customers according to bank policy
,
Ā• Process and properly record the sale of monetary instruments (i.e. official bank checks)
,
Ā• File government-mandated reports related to large cash transactions and the sale of monetary instruments
,
Ā• Process foreign currency purchases and sales
,
Ā• Process various types of loan payments and credit card cash advances

Requirements
Ā• High School diploma or equivalent
,
Ā• 2-4 years of sales experience in a retail, financial services or hospitality environment preferred
,
Ā• Ability to work independently and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
,
Ā• Outgoing self-starter with technical literacy
,
Ā• Basic business acumen and professionalism
,
Ā• Strong communication skills to convey information clearly
,
Ā• Ability to build relationships and strong alliances across the organization
,
Ā• Quick learner of products and services offered by the bank
