Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Node.js / TypeScript Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance applications for healthcare systems. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in cloud-native development, databases (SQL & NoSQL), and API integrations, along with an understanding of healthcare interoperability and compliance (HIPAA, HL7, FHIR).
This is a hands-on development role, requiring collaboration with architects, QA, DevOps, and product teams to deliver secure and scalable healthcare applications.
- Responsibilities
- Design and develop backend services and APIs using Node.js and TypeScript.
- Build scalable applications that handle healthcare EMR/EHR, claims, and patient data.
- Optimize application performance for low-latency and high availability.
- Work with MongoDB, Redis, and SQL databases to design efficient data models.
- Collaborate with DevOps engineers to support CI/CD pipelines and cloud deployments (Azure/AWS/GCP).
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, PHI, and PII data handling requirements.
- Write unit, integration, and load tests to ensure software quality.
- Partner with product and healthcare domain experts to design solutions aligned with interoperability standards (FHIR, HL7, ICD-10, CPT-4).
- Participate in agile ceremonies and cross-functional collaboration.
- Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in Node.js and TypeScript development.
- Strong experience with cloud APIs (Azure preferred; AWS/GCP acceptable).
- Hands-on expertise with MongoDB, Redis, and SQL databases.
- Experience building RESTful APIs and integrating third-party services.
- Solid understanding of scalable system design and microservices architecture.
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, and performance optimization skills.
