About the position
- Responsibilities
- Oversee the planning, facilitation, and evaluation of the Rising Phoenix Program.
- Manage student recruitment and admissions processes.
- Supervise daily operations and staff, including Rising Phoenix Student Success Coaches.
- Coordinate program budgets and monitor financial resources for individual cohorts.
- Collect and analyze data to evaluate program services and uphold integrity.
- Develop and document program policies and procedures in compliance with regulations.
- Build and maintain partnerships with high school partners and other universities.
- Serve as a resource for school partners, addressing inquiries and concerns.
- Teach sections of the First Year Seminar course for Rising Phoenix students each fall semester.
- Requirements
- Master's degree in Counseling, Student Affairs, Education, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience working with high school and/or college students in admissions, academic advising, or program development.
- Demonstrated leadership experience, including supervision and training of professional staff.
- Experience working with diverse, underrepresented, and first-generation students.
- Nice-to-haves
- Bilingual, preferably in Spanish, Hmong, Somali, or Oneida.
- Demonstrated experience in supporting institutional efforts to create a diverse and inclusive community.
