Job description: Tutor - English and Writing (incl. SAT and ACT prep).
Huntington Learning Center, the oldest and most respected learning center in the nation, is currently seeking part-time teachers to assist us in achieving our mission statement of "giving each student the best education possible".
We are now hiring and training English/writing teachers for the fall season to perform in-center, in-person student tutoring including SAT and ACT prep.
Qualifications:
- A state credential is preferred for all of our programs.
- For candidates wishing to teach SAT and ACT, a math/science or English/writing degree is required.
- All teachers must possess a positive and nurturing teaching style.
- A bachelor's degree is the minimum requirement.
- Low student/teacher ratios allow us to make a positive impact on every child.
- Flexible scheduling lets us work around your schedule.
- Supportive parents.
- No requirement to conference with parents.
- No lesson plans to prep or papers to grade at home.
- Paid training.
Our individualized programs guide students to success in reading, math, writing, study skills, and SAT/ACT preparation.
