Responsibilities and Duties
Performs personal care activities that assist the client with activities of daily living which include (but are not limited to):
รย Performing housekeeping activities which include (but are not limited to): vacuuming, dusting, sweeping or mopping floors, doing dishes, changing bed linens, doing laundry and cleaning the bathroom
รย Preparing meals and snacks according to instructions
รย Accompanying client on errands or medical appointments
รย Eating
รย Dressing/Shaving
Performs client-specific tasks. These could include (but are not limited to):
รย Medication reminders
รย Assisting with prescribed range of motion exercises
รย Preparing special diets
รย Dementia care
รย Companionship activities such as reading, music, puzzles, etc.
Qualifications and Skills:
รย High school graduate or G.E.D. certificate preferred.
รย 6-month of experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant or 6 months experience as a Personal Care Assistant in healthcare preferred
รย 1-3 years of experience as a Caregiver/Home Health Aide in healthcare (in homes or facilities)
รย Ability to read, write, speak and understand English as needed for the job
รย Possess a valid driverรยs license and current automobile insurance preferred
รย Pass a background check
