Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Convergint is looking for a full-time, enthusiastic, results driven and forward-thinking Staff Accountant to join our amazing culture. As a Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for day-to-day operations, month-end, quarter-end and year-end close processes for inventory and cost accounting functions. Responsibilities Under supervision, responsible for day-to-day operations, month-end, quarter-end and year-end close processes for the inventory and cost accounting functions Prepare and post journal entries Understand technical accounting and provide sufficient documentation supporting entries Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and research variances for assigned accounts Manage the maintenance and periodic updates of cost accounting records Assist with periodic physical inventory Assist with B/S and P&L variance analysis including variances against budget and prior periods, providing detailed insights and actionable recommendations to management Assist with the preparation of financial statements and internal management reports Use accounting standards and internal company policies to analyze and propose solutions for accounting issues Collaborate with other departments to gather financial information and support business operations Assist with periodic audits and provide necessary documentation Participate in special projects and process improvement initiatives Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested or required Skills Bachelor's degree in accounting from an accredited university or college 1-3 years accounting related experience CPA or progression toward CPA Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint Curious mindset, eagerness to learn and open to new challenges Self-motivation, a “can-do” attitude High attention to detail Flexibility; ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment Strong planning and organizational skills; ability to meet tight deadlines Strong team player able to effectively collaborate with others within and outside accounting teams Adaptability and enthusiasm for embracing new technology Public accounting audit experience Experience working in cost accounting function within a manufacturing or construction company NetSuite or other large ERP experience Benefits 10 Company Holidays and Paid Time Off starting at 13 days annually Fun & Laughter Day Off Medical, Dental & Vision Plan Life insurance & Disability Plan Wellness Program 401K Matching Plan Colleague Assistance Program Tuition reimbursement Competitive salary and compensation plan Vehicle reimbursement plan or company vehicle Corporate Social Responsibility Day Cell phone reimbursement (if applicable) Paid parental leave Company Overview Convergint is a global systems integrator focused on delivering results for our customers through unparalleled service excellence.
