The role involves leading ESG and sustainability reporting, overseeing carbon footprint calculations, and ensuring internal controls over sustainability data.

Lead the preparation of ESG and sustainability disclosures, including standalone ESG reports and disclosures within SEC filings (10-K, Proxy)
Coordinate reporting aligned with frameworks such as SASB, GRI, TCFD, ISSB, and CDP
Support responses to investor, lender, and rating agency ESG requests
Oversee calculation and reporting of Scope 1, Scope 2, and Scope 3 greenhouse gas emissions
Partner with internal teams to collect activity data (energy, fuel, travel, supply chain)
Review methodologies, assumptions, and emission factors for accuracy and consistency
Track emissions trends, reduction initiatives, and performance against targets
Design and maintain internal controls over ESG and sustainability data, similar to financial reporting controls
Support external assurance or audit of ESG metrics
Document policies, procedures, and methodologies for sustainability data collection and reporting
Ensure consistency between sustainability disclosures and financial statements
Work with Legal and Compliance on regulatory developments and disclosure requirements
Partner with Operations, HR, Procurement, and IT to gather and validate ESG data
Coordinate with external consultants, auditors, and Big 4 ESG advisory teams

5+ years audit experience
Accounting/Audit background
ESG/Sustainability experience
CPA
