CAKE.com is a unicorn product-based company with a global presence, seeking a Java Developer to build and enhance their modern Java web applications. The role involves designing, developing, testing, and monitoring applications while ensuring code quality and identifying process improvements. Responsibilities • Design, develop, test, document, deliver, and monitor our modern Java web applications. • Ensure code quality and consistency through code reviews and system design analysis. • Identify opportunities to improve development methodologies and fine-tune internal processes. Skills • 3+ years of commercial experience in Java software development, using the full Java application stack. • Strong skills with Spring. • Deep understanding of OOP and design patterns. • Experience working with SQL and/or NoSQL databases. • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience. • Ability to work in CET timezone. • Excellent English communication skills (written & verbal). • Experience with agile development methodologies. • Hands-on experience with CI/CD and DevOps tools. • Proficiency with Linux/Unix, including writing shell scripts. • Knowledge of AWS cloud services. • Familiarity with modern HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. • Experience with Hibernate. • Understanding of distributed architectures. • Exposure to Node.js.
