Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. OxProx is a social venture spun out of Oxford University Innovation, focused on creating a global database of institutional investor voting data. They are seeking a Full Stack Developer to manage both frontend and backend systems, working closely with the CEO and team members to refine and scale their product during its transition from proof-of-concept to minimum viable product. Responsibilities Maintain and improve the React webapp and Next.js admin portal Build and maintain data collection and extraction pipelines across multiple sources and formats (HTML, PDFs, CSVs) Manage and monitor AWS infrastructure and other cloud services Integrate LLMs to automate data extraction and workflow tasks Work with external data architects and contractors to implement and improve the system Skills 1-4 years of professional experience as a developer Strong understanding of software design, with a passion for learning Strong interest in data management and data quality, ideally with experience building or maintaining data pipelines, scrapers, or automated workflows Interest in and some exposure to LLMs / AI agent frameworks (e.g. OpenAI, LangChain, Assistants API) Proven ability to work independently, without clear specs Clear communicator, able to explain technical decisions to a non-technical audience in writing and verbally, and confident asking thoughtful questions to clarify problems and challenge assumptions Security-conscious mindset: We don't expect advanced security expertise, but we do expect you to take security seriously: writing code with care, flagging concerns, and being willing to learn secure development practices as we grow Candidates must have access to a high-speed internet connection and a quiet home office space where you can work and join virtual meetings from Benefits Health and dental benefits Equity participation for the right candidate Company Overview OxProx is the database of the world’s proxy voting records.
