The EHS Business Partner will lead safety initiatives, conduct audits, and promote employee health and well-being across multiple sites. Responsibilities β€’ Promotes a robust safety culture by providing training, guidance, and resources to employees β€’ Leads safety initiatives through toolbox talks, stand downs, and site visits to address potential risks and reinforce safe work practices β€’ Reviews and ensures all Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) training is completed for applicable personnel β€’ Develops training programs to enhance safety awareness and compliance for all team members β€’ Tracks and reports on training completion to meet corporate and regional benchmarks β€’ Conducts regular onsite visits to develop strong relationships with employees and management β€’ Prioritizes visits to sites with the highest employee count, incident rates, or lowest audit scores β€’ Ensures all regional sites are visited on a three-year rotation to maintain consistent safety standards β€’ Monitors and ensures compliance with OSHA, MSHA, and EPA regulations, including permits and reporting requirements β€’ Maintains knowledge of equipment and its safe operation to identify and address compliance gaps effectively β€’ Oversees DOT compliance for the area, including auditing driver logs, overseeing vehicle updates, and conducting applicable training β€’ Investigates workplace injuries, vehicle accidents, and other safety-related incidents β€’ Documents incidents and follow up with corrective action plans to mitigate future risks β€’ Analyzes trends in total recordable incident rates (TRIR), injury and accident reports, and identify areas for improvement β€’ Conducts safety audits and follow up on findings, including implementing corrective actions β€’ Updates and reports quarterly trends on accidents, frequencies, and other safety performance metrics β€’ Monitors injury and vehicle accident trends to establish proactive measures that enhance safety performance β€’ Manages the tracking of vehicles in the area and ensure proper maintenance, updates, and safety compliance β€’ Understands and monitors EPA permits for all sites, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations β€’ Identifies and addresses any gaps in permit coverage or adherence β€’ Performs other duties as assigned Skills β€’ Typically requires a bachelor's degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Occupational Health, or a related field β€’ Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in a safety-related role, preferably in an industrial or multi-site environment β€’ Experience in managing and auditing compliance for DOT requirements and vehicle fleets β€’ In-depth knowledge of OSHA, MSHA, EPA, and DOT regulations β€’ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and safety management systems (SMS) β€’ Strong analytical skills to assess trends in incidents, develop improvement plans, and track outcomes β€’ Proficiency in injury investigations, vehicle accident documentation, auditing practices, and corrective action implementation β€’ Ability to develop and deliver impactful training programs β€’ Effective communication and relationship-building skills to foster collaboration across teams and sites β€’ Willingness to travel up to 50% for mine site inspections, audits, and employee interactions β€’ Ability to conduct fieldwork in mining environments, which may involve exposure to dust, noise, challenging weather conditions, and confined spaces β€’ Ability to climb ladders and engage in physically demanding activities in accordance with safety standards β€’ Professional certifications (e.g., ASP, CHMM) are a plus β€’ Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or similar safety certifications are strongly preferred β€’ Certified Lead Auditor preferred β€’ MSHA Part 46/48 Certification or equivalent Benefits β€’ Healthcare coverage β€’ 401(k) β€’ Tuition reimbursement β€’ Vacation β€’ Sick β€’ Holiday pay Company Overview β€’ Motion is a Automation Machinery Manufacturing.
