As a Remote Customer Support Specialist, you will be the voice of our company, delivering top-notch service to millions of customers filing their taxes. Program Overview
The program will run from January 13th, 2025, to April 15th, 2025. We prefer candidates who can commit to working all 14 weeks of the program. As a Remote Customer Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, troubleshooting software issues, and communicating complex tax concepts in a clear and concise manner.
Key Responsibilities
- Demonstrate a sincere desire for a quality customer experience and promote a positive work environment
- Provide excellent written and verbal communication skills, displaying empathy with customers over the phone
- Troubleshoot software issues and modify communication style to meet customer needs and tone
- Simplify and communicate complex tax ideas to customers and diffuse situations with angry customers
- Commit to staying up-to-date on changes to the product and tax season to be knowledgeable for our customers
- Step-in as needed, including answering questions from customers via chat
Essential Qualifications
- High School graduate
- Basic knowledge of tax laws and tax concepts (preferable)
- Experience providing support in a call center environment (preferable)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Intermediate level of knowledge in relevant operating systems and software environment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle change well

- Previous experience in a customer-facing role
- Basic knowledge of tax preparation software
- Experience working in a remote or virtual environment

Compensation, Perks, and Benefits
arenaflex offers a competitive compensation package, including a certification bonus and opportunities for growth and advancement. You will also have access to a range of perks and benefits, including flexible scheduling, remote work options, and a supportive team environment. We also offer a $5 Turbo Bonus Boost per hour for all hours worked from April 9th to 15th, and a minimum of 30 hours per week is required.
Operating Hours and Schedule
- Operating Hours: 8am to midnight EST, Monday to Sunday
- Required Minimum Hours: 30 hours per week
- Peak Period: April 9th to 15th, with extended hours and increased compensation
Mandatory Requirements
- Must reside in the USA
- Must have passed background check and tech check to attend certification
- Must be on camera during certification
- Must have the following hardware requirements: Windows Computer, Windows 10 or 11, AMD or Intel Core Series, at least 8gb of RAM, webcam, wired mouse, USB headset, and wired internet connection
Conflict of Interest
Cannot hold gigs with Column Tax or any Intuit Vendors
