Position Overview – Remote Customer Service Representative
As a Remote Customer Service Representative for arenaflex, you will be the first point of contact for individuals seeking assistance with the NJ Family Care program. You will handle inbound inquiries, guide applicants through enrollment, resolve concerns, and ensure that every interaction reflects arenaflex’s commitment to excellence and compassion.
Training & Schedule
Our structured training program runs Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, for a total of 5–6 weeks. Upon successful completion, you’ll transition into a regular schedule with shift options that include:
- Monday & Thursday: 8:00 am – 8:00 pm
- Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
All work is performed remotely, and arenaflex supplies the necessary equipment (computer, headset, and secure VPN access) at no cost to you.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the initial point of contact for potential and existing NJ Family Care beneficiaries, as well as community‑based organizations.
- Provide one‑to‑one telephone support, answering questions, guiding applicants through the enrollment process, and delivering clear, accurate program information.
- Document all interactions meticulously, including enrollment requests, status changes, complaints, and grievances, within arenaflex’s web‑based system.
- Enter application and enrollment data accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with privacy and security standards.
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of NJ Family Care rules, guidelines, and related program policies; proactively share updates with teammates.
- Identify patterns or recurring issues and relay insights to quality‑monitoring and process‑improvement teams.
- Demonstrate empathy, patience, and professionalism in every conversation, fostering trust and satisfaction among callers.
- Adhere to arenaflex’s performance metrics, including average handling time, First Call Resolution, and quality assurance scores.
Essential Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED equivalent.
- Basic understanding of a call‑center environment, preferably with prior customer‑service experience.
- Demonstrated ability to build rapport with diverse callers and maintain effective working relationships.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with an openness to feedback and continuous improvement.
- Excellent verbal communication skills, including clear articulation, active listening, and the ability to convey complex information simply.
- Proficiency with computer applications, web‑based data entry, and the willingness to learn arenaflex’s proprietary platforms.
- Ability to work independently from a remote location while adhering to scheduled shift times.
- Successful completion of background check and drug screening.

- Previous experience in health‑care enrollment, public‑sector programs, or social services.
- Familiarity with NJ Family Care or similar state‑run assistance programs.
