As an AI Clinical Decision Support Consultant, you will collaborate with product and AI teams to design decision-support features that enhance clinical workflows and ensure AI-generated recommendations align with evidence-based practices.
- Responsibilities
- Partner closely with product and AI teams to design decision-support features that fit seamlessly into clinical workflows, not bolted on as afterthoughts
- Evaluate and validate AI-generated recommendations against current evidence-based practice and real-world feasibility
- Pressure-test prompts, alerts, and guidance in the context of actual clinical use, refining until they feel helpful rather than intrusive
- Analyze usage patterns and outcomes to improve relevance, trust, and effectiveness
- Train and advise clinicians on how to use decision-support tools in a way that enhances judgment rather than replacing it
- Skills
- You're a licensed clinician (MD, DO, NP, PA, or equivalent) with hands-on experience in real clinical decision-making
- You know firsthand where decision-support systems add value and where they just add noise, because you've lived on both sides of that experience
- You understand clinical workflows, documentation systems, and EHR environments well enough to see exactly where they break
- You're genuinely curious about AI: not buzzword-curious, but curious enough to believe it can reduce cognitive burden when it's designed with clinical judgment at the center
- You can communicate clearly across clinical and technical teams without losing nuance in translation
