Goucher College’s Graduate & Professional Studies is seeking non-tenure-track adjunct faculty to teach graduate courses in the M.A. in Policy Analytics program. The role involves teaching a course on Data Ethics, focusing on the ethical implications of data use and engaging students in understanding public policy design and evaluation. Responsibilities Teach graduate courses within the M.A. in Policy Analytics (MAPA) program Maintain a Canvas site for course resources Engage students from diverse backgrounds Deepen students’ understanding of the interactions between the practical use of analytical tools and methods for evaluating, designing, and improving public policies Skills A Master's degree in a relevant field, such as Data Analytics, Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, Applied Mathematics, Political Science, or other social sciences, with strong quantitative method training Demonstrated ability to use at least one major data tool like R or Python At least one year of experience teaching at the college level in data analysis, research methods, or quantitative reasoning Comfortable working with students from diverse disciplinary and professional backgrounds, including those without strong math or coding foundations A Ph.D., J.D., or other terminal degree in a relevant field, such as Data Analytics, Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, Applied Mathematics, Political Science, or other social sciences, with strong quantitative method training Experience teaching data ethics at the graduate level in person and/or online Experience teaching graduate-level courses in data analysis, research methods, or quantitative reasoning Ability to teach diverse learners (e.g., students with policy, nonprofit, or humanities backgrounds) and guide students through individual projects and team-based work Company Overview Goucher College is an education institution offering courses which prepares its students for careers that haven't been invented yet.
