Key Responsibilities:
- Process customer payments, including cash, checks, and credit card transactions, to ensure accurate and timely recording of financial data.
- Verify and enter transactions from lockbox and local deposits to maintain up-to-date records.
- Maintain and update accounts receivable records, including invoicing, debits, and credits, to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Investigate and resolve account discrepancies, including authorized and unauthorized deductions, to ensure prompt resolution and minimize financial losses.
- Coordinate with the collections department to resolve outstanding payments and develop customer payment plans.
- Prepare and maintain reports, including monthly summaries of receivables, to provide insights and support business decision-making.
- Maintain confidentiality and protect organizational value by handling sensitive information with discretion.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Strong organizational and accounting skills, with attention to detail and ability to analyze financial data.
- Proficiency in data entry, financial software, and general math skills.
- Excellent communication and verbal skills, with ability to effectively interact with customers and internal stakeholders.
