Podcast Video Editor (YouTube + Shorts | Ongoing)
We’re seeking a podcast video editor who understands that strong editing is about storytelling, clarity, and intention—not just cutting clips.
Our content centers education, lived experience, and thoughtful conversation. This is not trend-chasing or fast-cut TikTok editing. It’s clean, professional, and purpose-driven.
Engagement is contingent upon acknowledgment of a standard intellectual property and confidentiality agreement prior to access to files.

What You’ll Do
Edit full-length podcast episodes (45–90 minutes) for YouTube
Create 3–5 short-form clips per episode (YouTube Shorts focus)
Add accurate, clean captions that are readable and accessible
Select clips based on meaningful, resonant moments, not just energy
Maintain pacing, tone, and conversational integrity
Follow light brand guidelines (logo placement, colors, intro/outro if provided)
This Role Is a Good Fit If You:
Have experience editing podcasts, interviews, or long-form conversations
Understand narrative flow, context, and audience retention
Are comfortable working with educational or research-informed content
Communicate clearly and meet deadlines consistently
Value discretion, ethics, and professionalism
This Role Is Not a Fit If You:
Rely heavily on gimmicky effects or over-animated styles
Focus on volume-based clipping without context
Require heavy micromanagement or constant reminders
Tools
Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or equivalent
Experience with captions, Descript, or Riverside is a plus
Compensation
Fixed price per episode: $150–$300 depending on scope and experience
Ongoing work available
Opportunity to move into a monthly retainer after trial

DSW®, LLC. All work is considered work-for-hire, with exclusive ownership retained by the company. Formal intellectual property and confidentiality terms will be provided and must be acknowledged prior to access to files.
Screening & Trial Process
Qualified applicants will be asked to complete a brief screening and a short trial designed to assess editorial judgment and storytelling instincts, not speed or volume. No proprietary or unpublished files will be shared during the trial stage.
