About the position
- Responsibilities
- Provide technical expertise and support to countries in planning, implementing, and evaluating strategies for HIV/AIDS and tuberculosis prevention and treatment.
- Conduct operational research to promote best practices in PMTCT/Peds HIV service delivery.
- Resolve public health policy matters through meetings with government personnel and provide technical leadership on maternal and child health issues.
- Prepare reports, articles, or monographs on maternal and child health initiatives.
- Serve as a principal science advisor in formulating plans and strategies for the Division and Agency.
- Requirements
- Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from an accredited institution.
- Current, active, full, and unrestricted license as a Physician from a U.S. state or territory.
- At least 1 year of supervised experience in a clinical setting, such as an internship or residency program.
- 5 years of graduate training in the specialty or equivalent experience for GP-15 level.
- Experience providing scientific medical advice in public health program planning and coordination.

- Experience in international public health programs.
- Familiarity with HIV/AIDS and tuberculosis prevention strategies.
