About the position The Patient Access Services Representative plays a crucial role in ensuring accurate verification of health insurance coverage and financial demographic information. This remote position requires effective communication and service excellence while acting as a liaison between various departments to facilitate the insurance verification process. Responsibilities β’ Performs a complete verification check on all health insurance coverage. β’ Obtains all financial demographic information from the discharge planner and outside referrals. β’ Verifies all required insurance information, including primary payor data. β’ Notifies Nurses of any change in insurance information as needed. β’ Provides information on all insurance coverage and any patient financial responsibility to the discharge planner. β’ Completes all required elements of the insurance verification form. β’ Enters verified insurance information into the computer. β’ Acts as a liaison between verifications and reimbursement. β’ Performs related duties as required.
