Job Description
As a Preschool Paraprofessional, you will assist classroom teachers in creating a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate environment for preschool students. This includes helping implement learning activities, supervising play, supporting social-emotional development, and providing one-on-one or group support to students. The paraprofessional plays a key role in maintaining daily routines and promoting positive classroom behavior.
Requirements
High school diploma or GED required
Early childhood experience or relevant coursework preferred
Ability to work with preschool-aged children in a patient, caring manner
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Must pass all required background checks and clearances
Physical ability to sit, stand, and engage in active play with young children
Responsibilities
Assist with implementation of preschool curriculum and daily activities
Support students in academic and social-emotional tasks
Supervise indoor and outdoor play to ensure student safety
Provide individual support and small group instruction as directed by the teacher
Assist with hygiene, snack time, and clean-up routines
Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to promote student development
