Position Overview: We are currently hiring Part Time / Full Time Medical Assistants to support our healthcare providers and ensure exceptional patient care in our clinical setting. Medical Assistant Key Responsibilities:
Β Patient Care: Assist healthcare providers in delivering direct patient care by taking vital signs, obtaining medical histories, and preparing patients for examinations and procedures.
Β Clinical Procedures: Perform routine clinical procedures, including venipuncture, specimen collection, EKGs, and medication administration under the supervision of licensed healthcare providers.
Β Documentation: Maintain accurate medical records, documenting patient information, test results, and treatments in electronic health records (EHR) systems while ensuring confidentiality and compliance with regulations.
Β Patient Education: Educate patients and their families about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, and self-care techniques to promote understanding and adherence to care plans.
Β Equipment Maintenance: Ensure the proper functioning and cleanliness of medical equipment and supplies, reporting any issues promptly to maintain efficient clinic operations.
Β Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with healthcare team members to coordinate patient care, communicate effectively, and contribute to a positive work environment.
Medical Assistant Qualifications:
Β High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a medical assistant training program preferred.
Β Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred.
Β Previous experience in a clinical healthcare setting is advantageous but not required.
Β Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients and colleagues.
Β Detail-oriented with excellent multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment.
Β Basic computer skills and familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
