Company Overview: Clothes Bin (dba) operates clothing and shoe recycling donation bins in the Knoxville and Chattanooga areas, aiming to serve our community with convenient recycling solutions while being a good steward of our resources. We are seeking a Part-Time Business Development Representative to join our team and help it grow. We are looking for a high-energy, self-disciplined professional with experience in sales, marketing, or business development. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in expanding our presence by building relationships with businesses, schools, and non-profit organizations. This hybrid role offers the flexibility to work from home while engaging with the community through client meetings and prospect visits. Your mission: β€’ Sign agreements with no less than seven (7) new qualified sites per month to place donation bins on their site. β€’ Partner with existing sites to optimize their marketing and on-site placement of existing bins. β€’ Occasionally source vendor partners as needed to support the logistics of the business for various services (such as storage, waste disposal, etc) and negotiate agreements with partnership of the owner. β€’ Support the logistical placement of bins at new sites and manage relationships with the points of contact at each site. You Need: β€’ Proven experience in sales, marketing, or business development. β€’ Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage and persuade others. β€’ Comfort with a hybrid work model, encompassing remote work-from-home with video and phone calls, as well as the ability to attend in-person client meetings requiring local travel in the Knoxville and Chattanooga markets. β€’ Strong personal and business network to leverage for identifying and maximizing opportunities for new partnerships. β€’ Comfort with a performance-based pay structure. Your Typical Day: β€’ Call sales leads and follow up on emails to initiate contact with potential partners. β€’ Conduct engaging in-person or video calls to present our donation bin services and negotiate lease agreements. β€’ Visit businesses, schools, and non-profits in the community to build relationships and identify partnership opportunities. β€’ Research local areas to identify prospects and gather information to support business development efforts. β€’ Provide regular status updates to the owner/director on progress and challenges. β€’ Chase referrals and persistently navigate obstacles to achieve monthly quotas.
