Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Oracle Cloud Global Order Promising (GOP) Consultant with strong Backlog Management expertise to support order fulfillment, commit accuracy, and supply-demand alignment in Oracle SCM Cloud. The consultant will work closely with planning, order management, manufacturing, and customer service teams to manage backlog, improve promise dates, and drive on-time delivery.
- Key Responsibilities
- Manage and analyze order backlog using Oracle Cloud Global Order Promising (GOP)
- Perform backlog review, prioritization, and re-promising based on ATP/CTP, customer priority, and supply constraints
- Configure and support GOP rules, sourcing rules, allocation rules, and promising strategies
- Collaborate with Order Management, Planning, Manufacturing, Inventory, and Logistics teams to resolve backlog issues
- Identify supply shortages and recommend corrective actions such as rescheduling, alternate sourcing, or substitutions
- Monitor and improve commit date accuracy, fill rate, and OTIF metrics
- Support exception management for delayed, constrained, or high-priority orders
- Participate in UAT, production support, and backlog stabilization phases
- Develop and maintain backlog-related OTBI / BI Publisher reports
- Document business processes, configurations, and SOPs
- Required Skills & Experience
- Strong hands-on experience with Oracle Cloud Global Order Promising (GOP)
- Proven experience in Backlog Management and Order Prioritization
- Solid understanding of ATP / CTP / PTP processes
- Experience with Oracle SCM Cloud modules:
- Global Order Promising (GOP)
- Order Management Cloud
- Inventory Management
- Supply / Demand Planning (preferred)
- Strong knowledge of Order-to-Cash (O2C) lifecycle
- Experience working with cross-functional global teams
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
