Operations Associate - Insurance Verification

Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Operations Associate to support our revenue and operations workflows by managing insurance verification and charge entry transactions. This role plays a critical part in ensuring accurate patient insurance data, correct coding, and timely transaction processing. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with insurance verification, understands medical coding basics (including ICD codes), and is comfortable working in a fast-paced, process-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities
β€’ Perform insurance eligibility and benefits verification across payers prior to services
β€’ Accurately enter charges and transactions into internal systems and billing platforms
β€’ Review patient demographics, insurance details, and coverage information for accuracy
β€’ Work with ICD codes and ensure correct mapping during charge entry and verification
β€’ Identify discrepancies or missing information and coordinate with internal teams for resolution
β€’ Maintain detailed documentation and logs for verifications and transactions completed
β€’ Follow SOPs and compliance standards while handling sensitive patient and insurance data
β€’ Meet daily productivity and accuracy benchmarks consistently
β€’ Support night-shift operations and collaborate with U.S.-based teams as required



Requirements

Required Qualifications

β€’ 1–3 years of experience in insurance verification, charge entry, or healthcare operations
β€’ Working knowledge of ICD codes and basic medical billing terminology
β€’ Experience handling insurance transactions, eligibility checks, and benefit verification
β€’ Strong attention to detail with high accuracy in data entry
β€’ Good written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications
β€’ Experience working with U.S. healthcare insurance payers
β€’ Prior exposure to EHR, billing, or practice management systems
β€’ Understanding of HIPAA and patient data confidentiality
β€’ Experience working in remote or night-shift operations

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys structured work, values accuracy, and wants to grow within healthcare operations while working closely with global teams.


Location: Remote but should be based in Hyderabad
Training Requirement: Initial 1–2 weeks of in-office training (mandatory)
Working Hours: 4:00 PM IST – 1:00 AM IST
