Job Summary
We are seeking a licensed and dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our remote education team. This is a 1099 independent contractor role, providing virtual instruction and support to K-12 students residing in Vermont. The ideal candidate is experienced, tech-savvy, and passionate about making a difference in the lives of students with exceptional needs.
- Requirements
- Active Vermont Special Education Teaching License (required)
- Minimum 1 year of experience working in special education (remote experience is a plus)
- Familiarity with IEP writing, compliance, and progress monitoring
- Comfortable using virtual learning tools and platforms
- Reliable internet connection and ability to work independently
- Responsibilities
- Provide virtual instruction and case management to students with IEPs.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in compliance with state and federal guidelines.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families.
- Maintain accurate student records, progress reports, and communication logs.
- Attend and contribute to virtual IEP meetings, staff meetings, and training sessions.
