Summary
Online English & Math Academy - Hiring Tutors
This is not a full-time job.
Classes will be assigned to teachers who are available to teach.
■ Subjects Offered:
- English: General English, Business English, and conversation practice
- Math: PreK-8 level foundational to advanced topics
■ Student Age Groups:
- Children: Ages 3 to 13 (English & Math)
- Adults: General English conversation and Business English
■ Time Zone:
- GMT+9:00 (Korea Standard Time - Seoul)
■ Preferred Class Times:
- Morning: 07:00 - 10:00 GMT+9:00 (Korea Standard Time - Seoul)
- Evening: 18:00 - 23:00 GMT+9:00 (Korea Standard Time - Seoul)
■ Class Schedule:
- Days: Monday to Friday
- No classes on weekends
■ Teaching Format:
- 1:1 Video Lessons
■ Platforms Used:
- Google Meet
- Google Classroom
- Google Calendar
- Google Drive
- Google Sheets
■ Lesson Guidelines:
- All classes will be recorded for student or parent review. Recorded videos will not be shared elsewhere.
- A support manager will organize the schedule for teachers. Simply join the meetings scheduled on Google Calendar to conduct your classes.
- After each lesson, mark attendance on the Google Drive attendance sheet.
- Upload the attendance and recorded lesson videos to Google Classroom after the class.

■ Benefits:
- Upwork Fee Bonus: If you complete all assigned classes without any absences for a month, you will receive a 10% bonus on the Upwork service fee.
■ Fixed Terms:
- Option to offer a free 10-minute trial class for students who register for regular classes.
- Students can change their class schedule up to 1 hour before the lesson without losing the session.
- Payment is made only for completed classes. Payment will be made on the 10th of the following month after the classes are completed.
(If a student is absent, the class will be deducted, and payment will still be provided.)
- No payment for canceled classes. (before 1 hour)
- Ensure all classes are completed from the 1st to the end of each month.
■ Penalty for Unexcused Absences:
If a teacher misses a scheduled class without providing at least 24 hours prior notice or a valid reason (e.g., medical emergency with documentation), the teacher must provide an additional free lesson equivalent to the missed class as compensation.
■ Fixed Hourly Rates:
- Maximum of $6 per hour
Rate Details Based on Experience:
- 0-1 year experience: $2/hour
- 1-3 years experience: $3/hour
- 3-5 years experience: $4/hour
- 5+ years experience: $6/hour
Native English speakers or teachers residing in English-speaking countries (e.g., USA, UK, Canada): Up to $10/hour based on experience.

These rates are fixed and non-negotiable.
Rates are determined strictly based on experience and qualifications as outlined above
