- Duties
- Guide students in exploring genres such as poetry, fiction, personal essays, and narrative nonfiction
- Facilitate engaging discussions, writing exercises, and collaborative workshops
- Provide thoughtful, individualized feedback on student writing
- Encourage voice, creativity, and revision through a supportive learning environment
- Create a supportive classroom environment that encourages student participation and fosters a love for learning.
- Assess and evaluate student performance through various methods, including tests, projects, and observations.
- Provide individualized support to students to help them achieve their academic goals.
- Collaborate with fellow educators to share best practices and improve instructional strategies.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff regarding student progress and classroom activities.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational trends and practices.
- Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree from an accredited university is required; teaching certification is preferred.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage students effectively.
- Ability to create lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and needs.
- Patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for teaching are essential qualities for this role.
- Experience in an educational setting is a plus but not mandatory; new graduates are encouraged to apply.
