We are seeking a skilled and passionate Nutrition Specialist to join our team at Tutor Time Learning Center, located on N 23rd Ave. As a valued member of our staff, you will play a vital role in providing healthy and nutritious meals to our enrolled children, while also contributing to a safe and supportive learning environment. Our state-of-the-art facility and comfortable workspace are designed to foster collaboration, creativity, and growth.
About the Role:
As a Nutrition Specialist, you will be responsible for:
- Preparing home-style, nutritional meal plans within the boundaries of our school's menu and budget, as well as state and federal requirements
- Creating and distributing meals and snacks to children and staff, while maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment
- Following daily menus and incorporating USDA, licensing, and/or health department regulations to ensure health and safety standards are met
- Maintaining inventory of food and supplies, and ordering more when needed
- Assisting in classrooms as needed as an Assistant Teacher/Floater
Requirements:
- Prior experience in cooking and/or food preparation for multiple individuals in a childcare facility (preferred)
- A willingness to learn and adhere to all current state and local regulations
- Flexibility in regards to hours and schedule of work
