Provide exceptional instruction/ tutoring services to students
Participate in positive interactions with parents and establish a high level of confidence and program value
Flexible schedule: we can potentially offer you as many or as few hours as you'd like. Some of our tutors work just a few hours per week, and some work nearly full-time.
Responsibilities:
Subject Expertise: Possess a deep understanding of the subject(s) you are tutoring, and effectively convey complex concepts in an accessible manner to students of varying levels.
Personalized Instruction: Provide tutoring sessions to students based on their individual learning needs, goals, and challenges.
Group Sessions: Tutoring is done in a small group setting. Conduct small group tutoring sessions to facilitate collaborative learning and foster peer interactions. It is important to be able to manage a small classroom and ensure that all students are on task.
Study Plans: Develop customized study plans and lesson materials tailored to each student's learning style and academic objectives.
Progress Tracking: Regularly assess students' progress, identify areas of improvement, and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
Motivation and Confidence Building: Inspire students, boost their confidence, and encourage a positive attitude toward learning. Help them set achievable goals and celebrate their achievements.
Problem-Solving: Assist students in solving problems and tackling challenging assignments, fostering critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Effective Communication: Maintain open and clear communication with students and their parents/guardians regarding progress, challenges, and achievements.
Adaptability: Be flexible in adapting your teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles and different levels of understanding.
Resourceful Learning: Introduce students to additional learning resources, such as online tools, reference materials, and educational websites, to enhance their understanding of the subject matter.
Time Management: Help students improve their time management skills and study habits to optimize their learning experience.
Feedback and Improvement: Provide constructive feedback to students, highlighting areas for improvement and guiding them toward further growth.
