About the position Our analysts transform data into meaningful insights that drive strategic decision making. They analyze trends, interpret data, and discover opportunities. Working cross-functionally, they craft narratives from the numbers - directly contributing to our success. Their work influences key business decisions and shape the direction of Comcast. Responsibilities β’ Lead discussions with business leaders and stakeholders to understand data and analysis needs and develop technical requirements. β’ Advise on the relevancy of data and identifies alternative data sources as needed to ensure analytics requested by business stakeholders can be completed. β’ Oversee analyzation of large, complex data to determine actionable business insights using self-service analytics and reporting tools. β’ Team queries disparate big data platforms such as Databricks, Teradata, SQL Server, Hadoop, and AWS. β’ Team combines data as needed from disparate data sources to complete analysis. β’ Lead identification of key business drivers and insights by conducting exploratory data analysis and hypothesis testing. β’ Participate in large scale programs implementing new sales and marketing tools such as Salesforce.com. β’ Oversee development of forecasting models to predict sales, demand and other key business metrics. β’ Review analysis of the results of campaigns, offers or initiatives to measure their effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement. β’ Review and communicate findings clearly and concisely through narrative-driven presentations and effective data visualizations to Company executives and decisionmakers. β’ Promote and evangelize a culture of excellence, data driven discussions, healthy skepticism, intellectual curiosity, knowledge sharing, and teamwork. β’ Stay current with emerging trends in analytics, statistics, and machine learning and apply them to business challenges. β’ Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance. β’ Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary.
