About the position
- Responsibilities
- Exhibit excellent customer relations with patients, visitors, providers, and co-workers.
- Provide therapeutic patient care in accordance with established plans by physicians or registered nurses.
- Transcribe physician orders as directed by policy.
- Communicate with registered nurses to implement changes in patient care plans.
- Administer specified medications accurately following provider orders.
- Execute treatments such as urinary catheterizations and intravenous catheter placements.
- Adhere to infection prevention and control policies and procedures.
- Perform patient care functions such as taking vital signs and wound care.
- Assist medical staff with examinations and treatments by providing necessary support.
- Document patient conditions and care in Health Connect as per policy.
- Participate in staff meetings and in-service programs.
- Assist in ordering and stocking of department supplies and equipment.
- Support patient communication and message management.
- Administer various therapies including oxygen therapy and suctioning procedures.
- Ensure cleanliness and proper functioning of patient care equipment.
- Requirements
- Minimum of twelve (12) months of LVN direct patient care experience within the last three (3) years.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Vocational Nurse License (California).
- Basic Life Support certification.
- Nice-to-haves
- IV Certification and Blood Withdrawal Certification preferred.
