Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate, certified math teacher to provide live, interactive instruction to students in grades 6-12. This part-time position guarantees 10 hours per week with a fully remote work environment. You'll teach engaging live classes using our provided curriculum, making mathematics accessible and meaningful for students from a biblical worldview.

This is NOT an asynchronous or self-paced position - we need dynamic live teachers who can engage and disciple students in real-time online classes.

What Makes This Position Unique

    Curriculum Provided: You'll teach using our carefully curated, proven curricula:
  • Middle School & High School: CTC Math, an online, mastery and conceptual-based curriculum. Student work through the online program throughout the week. You bring reteaching, procedural and fluency practice, problem-solving, SAT practice, and discipleship during the live sessions. This is a flipped classroom.
  • Financial Literacy: Dave Ramsey's Foundations of Personal Finance with consumer math integration
    Live Teaching Excellence: All instruction is delivered through live, interactive online classes where you'll:
  • Enhance provided curricula with spiral review and targeted practice
  • Lead real-time discussions and problem-solving sessions
  • Provide immediate feedback and re-teaching in a flipped classroom setting
  • Offer procedural and fluency support
  • Implement SAT practice
  • Build relationships with students and create classroom community
  • Engage and disciple students through Zoom using interactive online tools and activities
  • Create dynamic, interactive lessons that keep students actively participating
  • Adapt teaching methods on-the-fly based on student understanding and engagement
  • Pray with the class and integrate scripture
  • Teach from a biblical, reformed worldview
    Student Assessment & Communication
  • Provide timely, constructive feedback on student work and assessments
  • Hold students accountable through authentic, meaningful evaluation
  • Communicate effectively with parents about student progress and needs
  • Support students in developing critical thinking and problem-solving confidence
    Professional Collaboration

Required Qualifications

    Non-Negotiable Requirements:
  • Valid Teaching Certificate
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics or 6-12 Mathematics Endorsement on Certificate
  • Strong biblical literacy - you know the Bible
  • Live teaching experience with middle and/or high school students
  • Availability Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday 10AM - 4PM Eastern
    Essential Skills:
  • Proficiency with Zoom and other online teaching platforms and educational technology
  • Strong communication skills for both students and parents
  • Ability to create engaging, interactive online learning experiences
  • Commitment to teaching from a biblical worldview
  • Passion for helping students overcome challenges and "do hard things"
  • The grit and perseverance to learn new technology and to adapt to change
  • The ability to differentiate in a small group
    Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with the homeschool community
  • Background in consumer mathematics or financial literacy education
  • Experience teaching with Zoom and Canvas LMS
  • Tutoring experience in 1:1 and small group settings

    Schedule Requirements
