Job description: Job Summary:
The Care Continuum Partner - Medical Assistant functions in a regional capacity. The Care Continuum Partner - Medical Assistant is a role that supports patients and practices collectively. Responsible for meeting patients where they are within our physical/virtual walls and responsible for advanced level partnerships to support patients outside of the practice walls.
- Education - Required:
- Technical School Diploma as a Medical Assistant or
- Specialized Diploma as a Medical Assistant Education - Preferred:
- Associate's Degree Medical Assisting Experience - Required:
- 2 years experience interacting with patients and performing identified core functions of a MA. and
- 3 years experience working within a complex health system environment or related field. Experience - Preferred:
- 4 years experience or more, working within a complex health system environment performing some of these core function. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities - Required:
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Enhances skills through continuing education.
- Ability to handle numerous tasks at the same time.
- Superior customer service skills.
- Working knowledge of basic computer functionality.
- Effective and professional written and verbal communication.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities
- Critical thinking skills and solution focused approach. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities - Preferred:
- Knowledge and experience with electronic medical records and scheduling software.
- Knowledge of medical terminology. Licensure - Preferred:
- CCMA - Certified Clinical Medical Assistant - NHA or equivalent.
