Duties and Responsibilities of Grocery Counter Clerk:
• The talent to perform functions with or without appropriate changes is vital.
• Acts in coordination with other team members and notifies the immediate supervisor of relevant information
• Keeps information confidential and protected against unauthorized access within their area of responsibility
• The job may involve additional assignments
• Processes sales transactions for customers while keeping the store spotless through general cleaning tasks, restocks shelves as necessary and arranges merchandise displays with neatness
• Provides unparalleled customer service by helping customers with their purchases
• Provides regular, detailed feedback to management about product inventory, loss, and scanning errors, with recommendations on how to address these issues
• Complies with inventory count instructions and keeps a close eye on inventory to ensure that it is precise
• Abides by the established cash management policies and procedures to minimize the risk of monetary damages

Physical Demands of Grocery Counter Clerk:
• Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, push, pull, lift, carry, and walk about the store

Qualifications of Grocery Counter Clerk:
• The minimum age requirement for this is 18 years or older
• The capacity to provide responsive and friendly service to customers can make all the difference in their perception of a company
• Aptitude to conduct general cleaning responsibilities in compliance with company norms
• The skill to comprehend and implement organizational protocols and regulations
• Demonstrates exceptional verbal communication proficiency

• A stocker must possess the skill to operate a diverse array of equipment, including an electric or manual hand jack, a floor scrubber, and a cardboard baler, with safety as a top priority

Education and Experience of Grocery Counter Clerk:
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Prior work experience in a retail environment preferred
• A combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge
