Job Description
The Delivery Merchandiser รย Small Store Relief CDL is a touch freight position and is responsible for delivering and rotating stock. Also responsible for merchandising shelves, racks, equipment, and displays to Company standards.
What your day will look like:
รย High degree of flexibility required to cover open needs of driver team
รย Transports and unloads products to retail outlets
รย Responsible for merchandising all product inside the outlet to Company standards
รย Works in partnership with the Sales Supervisor to execute the picture of success. Establish positive relationships with all customers, as well as providing superior customer service
รย Provides feedback and recommendations to leadership on competitive threats and business opportunities as they arise
รย Ability to work with all functional team members
รย Sets up merchandise and sales promotion displays
รย Communicates any store level issue to management
รย Complies with DOT rules for driving purposes
รย Maintains rapport with customers
รย Collection of any breakage or out of date product, including empty shells and pallets
รย Accurate accounting for all cases and customer transactions
รย Ensure proper care of product, equipment, and route settlement daily
รย Deliver, rotate, and merchandise product on shelf, displays and all cold equipment
รย Maintains backstock in an organized manner
รย Keeps coolers, racks, and shelves clean
รย Assist with training, coaching, succession planning of any delivery merchandiser trainees
รย Build strong relationships with customer base across assigned customers
รย Performs appropriate duties as assigned by management
What you need to succeed:
รย Minimum of 21 years old
รย Class A Commercial Driverรยs License required and obligation to maintain compliance with UNITED fleet policy
รย The ability to maintain DOT physical requirements
รย Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by position and compliance with UNITED safety policies
รย Regular and prompt attendance is an essential function of the job
รย Ability to read, write and speak English
รย Ability to maintain a neat professional appearance within Company guidelines
รย Ability to maintain safety and security of Company assets
รย Ability to utilize all Company provided resources and technology
รย Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. repetitively in fast-paced environment
รย High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or 1-3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
รย Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
รย Ability to write simple correspondence
รย Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
รย Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
รย Ability to problem solve
รย Frequent standing and walking
รย Repeated exposure to weather
รย Ability to self-motivate and able to perform job duties with minimal supervision
