- Duties:
- Provide personal care and assistance to clients in their homes
- Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature
- Assist with mobility and transfers, including lifting and positioning clients
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- Assist with meal planning, preparation, and feeding
- Perform light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment
- Skills:
- Experience as a nurse or in an assisted living facility is preferred
- Proficient in medication administration and management
- Ability to provide compassionate care to individuals of all ages
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Knowledge of dementia care and memory care techniques
- Understanding of home care principles and practices
- Ability to cook nutritious meals for clients
This position requires a high level of compassion, patience, and attention to detail. Home Health Aides play a crucial role in supporting individuals in their homes and helping them maintain their independence.
