Role Description
- This role involves leading and executing short- and long-term sales initiatives across the United States for a pharmaceutical company.
- Oversee national sales efforts for GI-focused therapeutic brands
- Drive performance, execution, and growth across the field organization
- Lead, coach, and manage a national sales organization
- Drive sales execution through people leadership, performance management, territory optimization, and operational discipline
- Partner closely with Executive Leadership, Marketing, and other Medical Affairs
- Build, develop, and enable a high-performing field sales team
- Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred
- 7+ years of pharmaceutical sales experience, including 2+ years in a people management role leading a team of field-based sales reps
- Demonstrated success leading, coaching, and developing field sales teams
- Experience in specialty pharma and physician-focused markets preferred; GI experience strongly preferred
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret performance data and drive action
- Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence without direct authority
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Comfortable operating in a growth-stage, entrepreneurial environment
- Requirements
- Direct management of a national field sales team (currently 15 reps)
- Extensive travel required; ~50% overnight travel expected
