Role Description
- The Data Analyst 2 supports the Nordstrom Product Group (NPG) team by designing, building, and maintaining LookML data models that enable consistent, high-quality insights across the business. This role blends technical expertise with strong business curiosity to uncover meaningful patterns in complex product-related data and translate them into clear, actionable recommendations.
- Lead the migration and evolution of NPG data into Looker, ensuring accuracy, scalability, and alignment with business definitions.
- Build high-quality data models, transformations, and refinements that improve performance, governance, and usability.
- Explore and mine complex product design and development datasets to uncover insights that influence strategic decisions.
- Apply data modeling and predictive analytics to answer key business questions.
- Partner with the Business Intelligence Analyst to deliver clear, compelling visualizations that help stakeholders quickly understand insights and opportunities.
- Translate business needs into technical requirements and partner with IT to ensure data structures support short- and long-term BI needs.
- Provide exceptional service to business partners through professionalism, ownership, and a drive for strong results.
- Qualifications
- Quantitative degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science, engineering, or similar quantitative analytics discipline.
- 2+ years of corporate experience in data modeling and BI development, Looker Certification preferred.
- 2+ years of corporate experience of LookML and SQL with knowledge of version control systems and database management.
- 1+ year of professional experience using R or Python in an analytics capacity.
- Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional partners and tailor your message to different audiences.
- Commitment to strong relationships, trust, and collaboration across teams.

Pay Range Details
- The pay range(s) below has been provided in compliance with state specific laws. Pay offers are dependent on the location, as well as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
- California: $76,500-$158,500 annually
- Colorado: $76,500-$126,500 annually
- Connecticut: $76,500-$145,500 annually
- Hawaii: $76,500-$126,500 annually
- Illinois: $76,500-$126,500 annually
- Maryland: $76,500-$145,500 annually
- Massachusetts: $76,500-$145,500 annually
- Minnesota: $76,500-$126,500 annually
- Nevada: $76,500-$126,500 annually
- New Jersey: $76,500-$145,500 annually
- New York: $76,500-$158,500 annually
- Rhode Island: $76,500-$145,500 annually
- Washington: $76,500-$145,500 annually
- Washington D.C.: $87,500-$145,500
